If you’re looking to have an electric charge point installed at your home address or in a workplace in Hertfordshire, please email or call us using the direct links on the homepage.
The first thing we will check is if you're eligible for the OLEV government grant. You could receive up to £350 towards your charge point installation.
OLEV grant criteria:
- You own, lease or have ordered an electric car
- You will have the car for a least 6 months
- Your property has off street parking
- Your vehicle is on the OLEV electrical vehicle home scheme eligible list
Our Quotation
- We will visit your home to provide a full and accurate quote
- We will check your electrics to ensure the charge point can be safely installed
- Quotes vary depending on the position of the charge point
- Your quote will be valid for 1 month
OLEV grant
AddCharge will complete all the paperwork for you and submit the claim. The quote will deduct the grant where applicable.
Our Installation Process
- You will be given a pre-arranged time and date for your AddCharge installation engineer to visit
- The AddCharge engineer will confirm with you the location that the EV Charge point will be installed as per your quote
- The engineer will start the installation of your new EV charging unit
- The engineer will need to isolate the mains power for a short while to install your EV Charge point and test it
- The engineer will test your new EV charging point and will walk through how it works with you ensuring your happy with your new EV charge point
NOTE: Most installations will be completed within 3-4 hours but each installation is unique, times may vary.
What's included?
A Standard installation includes the following:
- The fitting of EV Charge point to a suitable location (Brick wall, plaster wall etc.)
- Supply of cable, attached to the wall between the EV charge point and the distribution board or electricity supply meter
- The EV Unit
- Install to be carried out by one of our fully qualified installers and tested
- We would need the customer to be on site during the installation
NOTE: If there are additional electrical works that are needed, they will be included in your quote
What's not included in the standard installation:
Any bespoke work such as running cables under floors, gardens, paths, ducting, ceilings will be added to your quote

NOTE: If weather conditions stop us from being able to perform a safe installation we will schedule and new convenient date with you.
